Ubisoft Conference Round Up
First up was Jerry Cantrell from Alice in Chains to announce and demonstrate on stage Rocksmith 2014 edition. Coming out in October and with a brand new session mode, it looks to use the Kinect to cycle through the menus allowing you to select instruments, creating a unique band around you.
Splinter Cell Blacklist was up next, with only a few weeks until release we got to see a trailer, which showed some of the campaign, co-op and Multiplayer footage.
Even though we have been waiting for Rayman Legends for quite some time, we got to see some brand new footage and a “set” release date for August 30th. With it boasting 120 levels, this makes it the biggest Rayman game released and we can’t wait to get our hands on it.
The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot, a free to play PC game hack and slash showed off a wonderfully funny trailer.
Ubisoft’s newest member of the family was up next. South Park’s The Stick of Truth showed off their trailer which was all about farts. The game is set for an October release and with Obsidian behind the project, we have a lot of anticipation for this title.
Next Gen was up next and a blistering trailer of Ubisoft’s game The Crew. Confirmed for Xbox One and PS4 and out early 2014.
We got to see a live demo of the game where four friends in different regions of the United States, demonstrate the different environments you can experience in the game. It also showed some co-op action and how you can customise the cars.
The stand out game of last year’s E3 - Watch Dogs was back for more, with a new cinematic trailer, but we were disappointed with no extra gameplay footage.
It was then time for everybody to dance with the announcement of Just Dance 2014. You can now have up to 6 person dance mode and a party master mode on the Wii u and it’s released in October.
We then got a look into Ubisoft’s attempt at interactive TV with Rabbins Invasion, coming to the Xbox One
It was Assassin Creed Black Flag, and a brand new trailer that contained everything you need for a pirate game. Bar fights, open seas and ship battles, the trailer looked incredible and also up was the creator director Jean Guesdon who talked about the setting of the game and gave us some direct in game footage.
We were then presented with not one but two new Trials games. Trials Fusion will drop on the next generation consoles and Trials Frontier will feature on mobiles.
Ubisoft left us with one last surprise. Tom Clancy’s The Divison it’s an online open world RPG created by Massive Entertainment, we got to see an epic trailer and some awesome gameplay footage as the group used team work to gain access to a police station and some grab some vital supplies.
